When we awoke yesterday morning this is what we saw.
It wouldn't have been such a big deal
if we hadn't gone to bed with the house looking like . . .
THIS!
A snow storm was completely unexpected when the roofing
company went home at the end of the day - leaving our
attic and insulation exposed to the elements. NOT GOOD!
Luckily for Perry's nerves the "light dusting"
of snow in our attic dried when the sun came out.
The work continued with blue skies.
Pearce was intrigued by how they got the shingles on the
roof with a conveyor belt. That would have been handy
back in the day when we were building our home in Nevada!
At the end of our May 1st Day.
Amazing what they can accomplish in a day.
I LOVE that the old metal chimney is gone.
And I am most excited about new gutters that will help
water to flow the way it is supposed to! No more setting up tarps
and sand bags to keep the water away from the house in our
gulley washers. My heart is singing right now! Happy Day!
