Oh what do you do in the summertime? We gather the fruit of dad's labors while he's off working and let Axel climb the ladder to help pick apples and pears. Poor dad. If he knew what we were up to while he was gone he'd never leave!

A partridge in a pear tree!
Lillie was thrilled when she plucked the first red tomato from the vine.

Now she just can't resist a vine ripened tomato..whether or not the polluted irrigation water has been washed off. And Axel still can't resist a mouthful of mud! We're building great immune systems here in Smithfield!

Oh ya, were definitely going to have to work on that play date. Axel and Ari can eat tomatoes and dirt together all day. He hasn't tasted irrigation water yet, but if the way he feels about k-so water is any indication I think it's going to be a hit.
Okay Girly...I am totally jealous of your amazing assortment of home grown goods!! And those TOMATOES are HUGE!
Lillie is a girl after my own heart! To me, there is NOTHING better than a home grown tomato!
That Axel is one dare devil of a kid.
WHAT CUTIES!!
You kind of have your hands full I would say. . . Axel ought to keep you occupied for quite some time what with his ladder climbing and mud eating antics! He'll keep you young or make you very tired! Good thing they are cute is what I always say! And oh, aren't they just the cutest when they are asleep!?! :)
